For sauna businesses

Websites and SEO for sauna businesses

Running a sauna is a local, physical business with a very online problem: the people who would love what you do can't find you, your sessions aren't as full as they should be, and your website doesn't look as good as the experience you offer. All three are fixable.

Someone who knows the space

I work in the UK community sauna scene myself

I'm not a web person who happened to land a sauna client. I'm active in the UK community sauna scene, and I've built and now look after the websites behind some of the organisations growing it. I understand how these businesses run, what a session actually feels like, and what makes someone book one. That shows up in the work.

Bristol Community Sauna

Bristol Community Sauna is a not-for-profit sauna I first helped get online at the start of 2025. When they geared up to raise funds for their expansion, I rebuilt the site from the ground up so it told their story properly and was easy to follow. It is warm, clear, and built on WordPress so the team can run it themselves.

Community Sauna Network

The Community Sauna Network helps people across the UK start value-led, not-for-profit community saunas. I built their website from scratch, set up everything behind it, and gave them an application form that brings would-be operators straight to their door. I have looked after the site ever since.

What's included

A site and SEO setup built to fill sessions

Local SEO

Your Google Business Profile, local landing pages, and reviews working together, so that when someone nearby searches for a sauna, you're the obvious answer.

A booking-friendly build

A site structured around getting sessions booked: clear pricing, session types explained, and your booking system integrated rather than bolted on.

Fast mobile pages

Most of your visitors are on their phones, often deciding on the day. Pages load instantly, and the path from first visit to booked session is short.

Most sauna businesses are local businesses, and the fastest visibility wins are local ones: a properly built Google Business Profile, a steady flow of reviews, and pages that match how people search for saunas in their town. That discipline is local SEO, and it applies to saunas exactly as it does to any bookings-led space.

Curious how I build sites more generally? See the websites page for the full approach.
